I choose to call Kingston City home because of its rich diversity, close-knit communities, and the exceptional quality of life it offers—from its parks and libraries to its stunning beaches.

I’m committed to keeping Kingston a place where all families can thrive.

My story

I’m Eric Lee, and my journey has led me to proudly call Kingston home. With a Bachelor of Business from Monash University, I’ve gained valuable experience through community, engagement, and advocacy roles at Monash and Swinburne Uni, as well as working with local small businesses.

As the child of refugees who came to Australia looking for a better life, I learned the value of hard work, smart thinking, and perseverance.

With rising costs in transportation, food, and childcare, supporting our families is getting harder.

I understand these challenges and am committed to listening to your concerns and finding solutions. I believe that real change starts in our local community.

My priorities

My Kingston City

Living in Kingston City, I feel a strong connection to our community through regular activities. I love grabbing coffee at our local cafes and making trips to places like Costco and DFO, even though I sometimes feel a bit guilty for opting for convenience. I also enjoy spending time in our parks, watching local soccer matches, and visiting the farmers’ markets, where I get to meet fellow residents and vendors. Picking up mail at Westall LPO, when I miss the drop-off, has become a small but important part of my routine.

Even though my ACL injury has put my plans to join Kingston City FC on hold for now, I’m optimistic about joining the team in the future. I enjoy connecting with local business owners and their teams, and it’s great to have family and friends around, living in the local area.

Sometimes, it can be frustrating to live here. I often notice the graffiti from my home and hit the occasional pothole while driving. These everyday reminders make me realise how important it is to keep our community clean and address issues like dumped rubbish and vandalism. Just like everyone else, I might not always think about it, but being a part of Kingston City means actively contributing to making our neighborhood a better place.
